Events

Sams is constantly at work with schools in our local communities to provide support during holidays and term time.

We have created reflective prayer spaces for schools at our yearly P7 transition event Leaver’s Journey.

One Teacher Commented:

“The Leavers’ Journey event was a fantastic way for pupils to interact with P7s from other schools in their catchment area. The volunteers running the session were brilliant with the children and provided them with a safe space to talk about their worries and excitement about their transition up to Secondary school. As a teacher, it was great to be able to move between different groups of children and get the chance to observe how they were interacting with others and to get the time to be available if any pupils wanted to speak to you about any concerns they had. The activities were well thought out, interactive and the children thoroughly enjoyed them. Thank you for such a positive experience.”

We support the Scripture Union – Easter Journey – a yearly creative extravaganza taking P6s on a journey back in time to the first Easter in Jerusalem. This takes place at The Mission Church during Spring term.

Big Day Out has begun as our in-service day holiday provision for parents of primary aged children. It is a time for the children to explore questions about the Christian faith more deeply.

We run a Bible-focused Holiday Club for one day a week over the Summer Holidays.

We help to send children on Holidays with Scripture Union.

We hope to develop Family Days Out during Holiday Periods to help us make connections and build relationships – lunch will be provided and the whole family will be able to enjoy fun activities such as visiting Aberdeen Science Centre and Codonas!
