About Us

Who are we?

The Samuel Trust was founded in 2006. The Trust is managed by three Trustees who are part of the two main churches that founded and support the project: The Mission, and Stockethill Church of Scotland.  These and St Marys, King Street had identified a need for supporting children and families in our communities and came together to provide project workers to stand in the gap.

The Samuel Trust employs part time workers and uses volunteers who liaise with local schools, churches and community groups to find ways to support children and families and engage with their needs whether emotional, physical or spiritual. Our aim is to fill in the gaps where we see them and support other groups who are doing the same.

What do we do?

Hopefully in this website you’ll find out more about the fun clubs and events that we run for children in the St Machar catchment area of Aberdeen.  A Christian ethos is at the heart of everything we do. Through our clubs, holiday events, outdoor games, school storytelling, health and wellbeing spaces we aim to teach, guide and encourage children and get them to think about the possibility of a living God that loves them and has a great future ahead for them. We do all this in fun and engaging ways that support schools, children and parents.
